Opportunity Engine — Privacy Policy

Effective: 2026-11-02. Operator: an independent developer based in Cyprus, contact hello@compresslab.org.

1. Data accessed from Google

When the owner signs in with Google and grants the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords scope, Opportunity Engine accesses, for the owner's own Google Ads account: the account currency, historical keyword metrics and keyword ideas returned by Google Ads keyword planning for phrases the owner enters. It does not read campaign performance, billing details, contacts, email or other Google data.

2. How the data is used

Only to build research reports for the owner: estimating search demand, comparing phrases and recording where each number came from. The data is not used for advertising to anyone, profiling, or training machine-learning models.

3. Storage

Data is stored locally on the owner's computer in a SQLite database and report files. OAuth credentials (client ID, client secret, refresh token) are stored in a local configuration file on the same computer. There is no server operated by the tool that receives this data.

4. Sharing

Opportunity Engine does not sell, transfer or disclose Google user data to third parties.

5. Retention and deletion

Data remains until the owner deletes it. To delete: remove the local database and report folders, delete the local configuration file, and revoke the app's access at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Cached API responses expire for refresh after 30 days but are kept locally until deleted.

6. Google API Services User Data Policy

Opportunity Engine's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Changes and contact

Changes will be published on this page with a new effective date. Questions: hello@compresslab.org.
